Ribbon Testing Service
With fully equipped testing facilities in the UK and France, if you are unsure what ribbon quality you need for your application, we can help.
- Send us 5m of labels/substrate that you will print onto
- Send us a sample label, printed using your current ribbon material
- If testing our product against another suppliers ribbon, we ask if possible that you provide us with a sample of this ribbon for us to check against.
We will do all the testing on your behalf, supplying you with printed samples to review and also a sample ribbon if requested so you can see these results for yourself.
The other option is that you can book one of our engineers to come out alongside you and do all testing at your customer site if you are located in the UK.
Our engineer will ensure that all tests are conducted correctly and that the optimum printer settings are being used. They may also be able to advise you on potential ribbon size changes or alternative grades to improve your print performance, whilst saving cost.
- You receive a full post visit report with full testing results showing how well each of the ribbon grades worked, what levels of durability were provided and how well any barcodes scanned.
- Backed with this, you have all you need to confidently quote your customer with a replacement product
A call-out charge applies for this service initially of £500, but this is then credited back to you after the first £500 worth of ribbon orders has been placed for this site.

We will provide you by return with a TEST REFERENCE NUMBER, which will need to be clearly marked on the package you are sending to us.
